My follower count goes up and down about 50 follows on any day, could just be the relays.

My follower count has been pretty stable since I joined nostr, a few months ago. I was wondering if something in terms of discoverability has changed.
Not sure, all the different relays can make it volatile and I find I can search for people sometimes and later they don't appear when searched for.
