Wired has been trash for many years now.. ..not sure they even have enough views/engagement for their articles to even [really] matter

Actually they do because their political allies in for example Wikipedia editor corps use "reputable sources" as a way to push and reinforce narratives.

admittedly i didn't dig into their analytics or funding.. ..just seems like after ~ 2012 they became useless
