What would that mean for a layman? A media co is supposed to work for a normal user, no?

If you're using Damus, check if you've updated to the latest version
Or you can try snort.social or primal.net - that's the good thing about Nostr. If you don't like the client you're using, you can change to another without losing your followers or posts.
I am on the latest version. People I follow get automatically unfollowed after few mins. Profile image I change goes back to default!
Very odd - I was checking and there's an open issue on Damus GitHub for this.
I can see your replies but to me it shows you're only following yourself & Damus client, which implies your follows data/ profile data is not being saved.
It's a relatively new system - so it has a few hiccups. But give it a chance and try some other client
How do I switch clients? ๐
From your current client, copy your private/secret key (it should start with nsec).
1. Then install Alby browser extension for Safari (https://blog.getalby.com/how-to-use-nostr-with-the-alby-extension/) & store your Nostr private key there.
2. Log in to snort.social or primal.net and sign in using Alby (NIP-07). You'll see all these posts and your followers there.
Btw, I can see you've followed Jack now - so think your follows are working ๐ค
Vanessa who responded to your post is from Damus team - if you're using Damus, you can let her know your issue. (There are few apps where the dev team directly asks for your feedback & Damus is one of those rare ones)
