Not if I don’t buy. Tariffs are almost like a national sales tax is that way. So if I don’t consume, I’m not taxed. 🤷🏼Right?

The issue is most in the #USA will purchase cheaper over paying more when given the chance. Been proven multiple times. #Bluejeans are classic test of this.
This is why monopolies have taken over so easily. While you may not be taxed by purchasing from them it can bleed into city/town codes that end of pulling the money anyway. Example: roads are bad so we need to pay higher taxes now.
