I would have both if I could. My neighbor used to do that, European spring and summer and the rest of the year in Australia. I miss the BBQ culture, the laid back attitude. People are so stuck up in comparison where I live now.

That’s what I did for a few years, had summer all year round! Nothing compares to summer in Europe though, it’s simply the best! Yeahhh we are a fun and laid back bunch here, sometimes too laid back 🤣

Absolutely. When I came back I appreciated European summer even more.

Too laid back? “No worries” is a double edge sword. A bit like Mai bpen rai in Thailand.

Meaning many don’t wish to work, they’d rather surf and smoke weed! 🤣

The company I worked for had the HQ in Byron Bay back in the days. Got to see Nimbin and similar subcultures.

Byron is just nuts now, with all the celebrities living there the real prices are outrageous! Sadly it’s driven the soul of Byron and Nimbin away too unaffordable 😞

Was there almost 20 years ago, but you can see it was turning that way. The simple fact that the owner of the company and the HQ had moved there was a sign.

I still love it, often we go there for a break and rent a property in the hinterland and just chill out!

It’s beautiful. I could have lived there for a little while. Didn’t because I was “in love” and moved to NZ

Ohhh NZ is even better! I’m looking forward to visiting NZ South Island, scenery looks just amazing!

Lived in Auckland. North island was cool, the volcanic nature, contrasting sceneries so close to each other. South Island is amazing but for me reminded me a bit too much of Switzerland, where I was born.

Are you still in NZ now? Don’t say if it’s too personal 🫂

Nah, this account is easily doxable anyway, and the things I plan to do on Nostr will only reveal more. I am back in Switzerland after a few other pit stops.

One of my bucket list of places…more in spring or summer as I sadly don’t ski 🎿

Summer in Switzerland is awesome. As long as you don’t miss the sea. But that’s just a drive or short flight away. Takes me 6hrs to go to Tuscany driving. What’s in a 6hrs drive radius from Perth? Not much.

I’m in south QLD and I can drive 6 hours north and still be in QLD 🤣

That’s what I miss about Europe, the countries being close to one another!

You in Brissie? Yeah, driving through Europe and really feeling the cultural changes around you is quite a trip.

No, on the Sunshine Coast - Noosa

Don’t think I made it to Noosa but the name rings a bell. I was around there when visiting Australia Zoo, then flew north to Cairns.

Not far from Oz Zoo, very lovely it’s a must see place if you’re ever back here

I intend to, when my son will be older and I get go there for at least a month.

Me too. As much of a totalitarian hell hole it is it still feels like home 🦘

Wait, what are you an AUStrich 🇦🇺

Zapstrich actually

International 😎

Where’s that photo from?

Me? Mornington Peninsula in December ☺️ at my folks house

Ohhh love it there, some great vineyards there! 🍷😂

… and just like that I miss Margaret River.

But to be honest Aussie white wine game is meh reds 👌

It’s so great. As you guys are saying……. I dream of going back. 2028 halving, as much land as possible. It’s gonna be great 🫶

2028… I like your way of thinking, because it’s close to mine.
