Should I…

1. Buy a freestanding barrel sauna for the garden right now.

2. Lower my time preference and wait to build the sauna when we renovate the old barn next to our house. This could be done in anywhere from 18-36 months from now.

Can't you combine 1 and 2? I think such an sauna oven could also work for 2

Definitely, some of the kit would be reusable. I'm guessing the barrel sauna would be something I could sell on when I build the new one as well...
