Old technology for the win. This Western Electric 302 sat unused in someone’s closet for decades. All metal version before they changed to thermoplastic when WWII started. The internal components are all date coded and original. I dusted it off, plugged it in and got a dial tone.
LOL. The average modern JS cough cough React web site probably could not sit for 6 months and be built and run again
