Lots of politically charged words end up with two, sometimes almost opposite definitions depending on tribal or political affiliation. People end up talking past each other as a result. Woke is one example. Another example is capitalism. Does capitalism presume central banking? to the right, no. But to the left, yes.
The thing about definitions is that they are determined by social consensus. The “correct” definition is whatever the hell everyone says it is. Which of course begs the question: who counts as “everyone.” From a practical perspective, “everyone” is usually defined as: my people, my community, my tribe.
