#asknostr Can someone explain how to curate my feed so that I can see more of what I want in it? Right now it is just random nonsense.

Search by what you’re looking for and follow that. What specific things are you looking for?

I know how to search but how do I "follow" something and where can I see only what I "follow" ?

I’m the worst with technology. Hoping someone gets you an expedient answer. nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 is really intelligent & following him one could learn a lot. Truly. 🫡

I think the best way is to follow people you like and hashtags you are interested in. Not having an algorithm is kind of a double edged sword. Its ok to mute people as well.

Use this to block the annoying acounts if you follow a certain hashtag

thank you. I tried that but i would have to block all of the random senselessness that comes through the feed. This is so confusing. why am I seeing all this nonsense in my feed ?

Use this to block certain words from showing up in your feed

thank you for being so helpful. but it is not about certain words. the problem is not understanding why my feed is being populated by garbage . just random people posting random sensless garbage. if it was meaningful then I could block the word but that is not the issue.

Which client (app) are you using? I'm only familiar with Amethyst.

You must be following one or multiple hashtags and getting everything associated with it. I can see all my follows by going to my profile, then clicking on 'follows' you can 'unfollow' any account or hashtag you aren't interested in

I just checked your profile, you are following 78 accounts, which is a perfectly fine number of accounts to follow, but most likely some of them are posting everything you don't want to see. You should go through and unfollow any account you don't know

You may be seeing a global feed and not your own feed of people that you follow. All the clients are a bit different. Which are you using?
