AI weapons are selective, whereas nukes aren't. AI weapons don't seem as scary since there is no mystical invisible "radiation". That makes AI weapons both acceptable and highly effective. Therefore, IMHO, AI weapons will dominate the coming wars.

I can imagine massive swarms of small drones going into a city and killing 30% of the people... all of the people of the wrong political bias, or the wrong religion, or the wrong ethnicity. Genocide is on the rise. AI guns that shoot these incoming drones down are going to be important. Probably Iranian bunker tech is also going to be important.
