It might’ve been, but there’s a more practical reason he included those words in the genesis block: it was a timestamp.
That Times headline proved the genesis block couldn’t have been mined before January 3rd, 2009.

Satoshi valued time more than anything else and he/she/it/whatever was right about it.
Wild to think he invented a new form of time. Super based. I like to imagine he rejected fiat-time and made bitcoin-time instead.
Exactly. This is the case. Satoshi was someone way ahead of his time. One of the aspects I like the most about #bitcoin is that all its history is recorded, second by second. That is unique. It is the best property register we have ever seen. It is fascinating.
