I always was involved in activism.

The most important things in activism happens IN PERSON, but some tools in internet sure help us to send the decisions made to each other so we can remember our tasks and internet also helps to spread information. But activism and even revolutions also happened centuries ago.

That being said, I remember in 2011 in a interview our friend said trillion stuff and media only showed the part where he briefly mentioned twitter and facebook.

I noticed newspaper tried to pretend social media was way more important to the struggle happening at the streets than it actually was.

There are lot of stuff media tried to imply about social media that I disagree, two of them are: pretending activism happened only because those APPs existed and that in real life people are more “pacific” and keen to agree with each other.

? What bro?

I’d imagine opposition would benefit keeping the focus on social media; especially if they have some level of control of that media. We have better tools now. #nostr

No replacement for in person interaction though.
