#Bitcoin relies on miners for security. Miners are driven by economic incentives. As rewards are reduced we’re currently counting on fees to go up in order to keep miners going. A busy mempool is therefore a good thing because the only other options for long term security of #Bitcoin involves rather drastic measures imo.
