Yes, and no.
Just depends, for me personally I intend to keep all my electronic devices in my possession indefinitely so if I so chose so I might but it can be problematic if your views/values/hobbies/interests, etc. change, and now you have something that no longer properly reflects you stuck on you pc.
Just depends on the person but from a resell position, I agree.
I think putting stickers about the tech you like on your laptop is childish and foolish. Worste case the TSA stops you to ask about Bitcoin or monero. True privacy means keeping these things not on display.
Don't get me wrong - I was a walking monero ad for years. But now I embrace the normcore and got rid of all identifieders.
Some consider me smug, but I like to advertise my green credentials on my laptops
