NORMIES DO NOT HAVE A CLUE!!!

True story:

I had the opportunity to do a presentation on a topic of my choice, to colleagues at my fiat mining job... Naturally I chose #bitcoin as my topic.

I spent 20 minutes talking through my PowerPoint presentation about the history and evolution of money, the problems of fiat currencies and how bitcoin is the solution - fix the money, fix the world etc. (and NGU etc)

All colleagues seemed impressed and intrigued as I answered numerous questions they had on the subject.

5 months later, one of the colleagues happily informs me that, thanks to my inspiring presentation, they made their first "CrYpTo" purchase. (First red flag 🚩)

I asked how they went about buying it... "I jUsT uSeD mY rEvOlUt" (Second red flag 🚩)

Me: "What did you actually buy?"

Colleague: Cryptodot something...

Me: "What?"

Colleague: *checks phone...* Oh no, POLKADOT!

Me: *Facepalms* ...

....

Me: "Why did you buy that one?

Colleague: I just liked the name and thought it was all the same thing really.

*Crickets*
