I wish we'd stop calling ourselves a democracy. We are not. We're a Democratic Republic. Democracy has no protection for the minority. It is Mob Rule, pure and simple. A Democratic Republic has the Constitution protecting the rights of everyone, including the minority. We need to harp on this distinction every single minute of every single day.
