I think there is a bigger story here than ProPublica reports. When the people sue the state, are they suing themselves? Perhaps the state’s attorney general is to provide defense, but what if the attorney general sides with the people? lt seems to me that when honest people are given a choice between justice and law things start changing. The process works when the law (stability) becomes so weak, people are permitted to act instead with their own understanding of justice. It is not good or bad thing, it is a thing.
