I agree with this. I don’t think that this statement and the ones that you had mentioned in your original post are mutually exclusive.
Why invent a concept where the only outcome is “it was meant to be”? What purpose does that serve except to justify some action?
Too convenient.
Why not? We live in a world full of endless actions, reactions, and inactions. Personally, I have experienced far too much serendipity to not believe in fate.
Was it serendipity or just math? Perhaps the probability of the thing that happened wasn’t as low as you may have thought?

what you are referring to is probably about the fact that... no matter how low the chance of something, there are so many people alive that *eventually* it will happen to somebody
but the fact that the event is certain to happen doesnt mean it is highly unlikely...
