Nice write-up!

I tried using VeraCrypt for a while. I really like the plausible deniabilty aspect. But, my containers would get corrupted every once and a while, making them unrecoverable. Maybe they fixed it in recent years?

I've since used Cryptomator and had no issues. It's great for cloud storage, as you suggested.

I'd be interested in more information on how you'd set up a hidden container only accessible with Tails.
