Blurry line between schmoozing and genuine relationship building. The latter is important in business and develops trust, the former is a pathetic mimicry of real connection by untrustworthy people. There will always be both… all the real OGs I’ve dealt with can sniff out the difference and cultivate authentic powerful win-win relationships. They’re the best at rejecting schmoozing. Politicians these days are dependent on donors for their careers, and thus are vulnerable. We need better systems for OGs to rise to the top in both politics and business. Freedom tech is ironically the path to better “governance”… whatever that ends up looking like in the new world.
