As someone that likes to clear browser history, post history, and scrub things clean. NOSTR frightens me. Once I send, it’s relayed forever. Typos and all.

There are delete calls, but only a very few select clients support it. Most relays seem to respect the delete event, for now. I can tell you that there will be “archive” nodes that drop delete requests if there are not already though. 👀
If worse comes to worse you can always self-sign a NIP-09 message and broadcast it yourself. I could code you up a quick command line tool specific for note deletion too.
I believe snort.social allows you delete note events today as well. Try that with a test pubkey first.
Depends on the retention policies of any servers that see it.
