Go for one month without using likes/reactions at all on nostr and see how your behavior and engagement with others changes. Then make up your mind about the value of likes.

That's retarded. People need to see reactions...its a social network..people leave Nostr because of the current lack of engagement

My wallet will either: not send zaps at all or double send zaps. Either case causes unnecessary friction to social engagement.
Aside from that, an emoji reaction conveys some meaning, a zap conveys value.
