Linux Mint Cinnamon can do dual boot very well. But many of the windows programs you want to run may run adequately in a VM. Or Wine with Bottles..👏👍🐧

why thank you sir

I want to say thanks. Your suggestion seems to be the only #Linux option my computer will interact with off the USB to install it

I thought I was being safe #BitLocking my #pc, so now I have to wait for my 1TB drive to #Decript, and I'll try the install tomorrow after I wake up

This is appreciated for the advice, my friend. Thanks again

Just out of curiosity, but which programs do you use that only run on Windows? 🤔

Well, as a person who has never used Linux before right now, I have no idea what I was saying in the case that there was one

What kind of programs do you use? While it is true that not all programs you have used in Windows are available/functional (Wine (with Bottles) or native Linux apps), there are plenty of alternatives that do work.

alternativeto.net is a great resource you can search 💪😎

thanks, for the link

as for software I use I do photography so use adobe with lightroom and Photoshop and that really it most of my other stiff is browser based

If you are willing to learn a new tool you can look at Darktable and Rawtherapee as alternatives for Lightroom. AFAIK is GIMP the best alternative to Photoshop, however they still don't have nondestructive editing 😔
