I'm ashamed to admit I wanted nothing to do with Star Trek until I was an adult, now it's a comfort show 🤷♀️. I enjoy a distraction now and again ☺️

Discovery is jealous no matter what; the others are happy they're not Discovery -- so you can speak freely and they won't mind 👀

I found it good to see how badly a Trek can be done and it gave me a deeper appreciation of all that went into making the good Treks -- because Discovery was an extremely high-effort failure // just remarkable the points where they would stumble. Overall I'd say it's worth watching if just to laugh at/commiserate over it. But it does have its good moments 👀
Ds9 is peak star trek.
Best klingon - all but worf, but especially Gowron
Best ferengi - grand nagus/quark tied. Nog close second.
Best cardy - ol tinker tailor soldier spy by an entire quadrant
I grew up watching TNG. I still love it, even the lesser episodes.
