The Walt Disney Company Leads Annie Awards Nominations In First Year Without Disney Television Animation As “Elio”, “Zootopia 2” And “Win Or Lose” Lead Nominations Across Feature And Television.ASIFA-Hollywood today revealed the nominees for the 53rd Annie Awards (https://annieawards.org/

), covering the year’s greatest artistic achievements across animated feature films, shorts and series as well as visual effects and video games. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at UCLA’s Royce Hall with “Elio” and Sony Pictures Animation “KPOP: Demon Hunters” being the leads from this year’s edition. The Walt Disney Company once again had a record smashing year with multiple nominations across the feature film and tv categories across Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Animation, LucasFilm Animation, 20th Television Animation and Disney Jr. Education & Inclusion with “Elio”, “Win Or Lose” and “Zootopia 2” leading the majority of the nominations. This year’s edition marks the first time since Disney Television Animation has been absent from the ceremony’s nominees which is weird since we where hoping for shows like “Kiff”, “StuGo”, “Big City Greens”, “Primos”, “Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur” “Robogobo”, “Phineas And Ferb” and “Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol” to get at least one nomination. The Annie Awards will honor Chris Sanders (Walt Disney Animation Studios “Mulan,” “Lilo & Stitch franchise”, Dreamworks Animation “The Croods”, “How To Train Your Dragon” franchise, “The Wild Robot”) with the The Winsor McCay Award for his recognition of lifetime or career contributions to the animation industry. Sanders currently is developing a sequel to “The Wild Robot” and is set to pen the script for “Lilo & Stitch 2” at Walt Disney Studios.Best Special Production -Not Just a GoofBest Sponsored -Fortnite x The Simpsons: Apocalypse D’Oh!Best TV/Media - Preschool -Kindergarten: The Musical! - Episode: Gotta GoBest TV/Media - Adult Animation -Bob’s Burgers - Episode: Grand Pre-Pre-Pre OpeningBest TV/Media – Limited Series -Eyes of Wakanda - Episode: Into The Lion’s Den -Marvel Zombies - Episode: 2 -Star Wars: Visions - Volume 3 - Episode: BLACK -Win Or Lose - Episode: Episode 8: HomeBest FX - TV/Media -Marvel Zombies - Episode: Episode 4 -Star Wars: Visions - Volume 3 - Episode: The Bird of ParadiseBest Character Animation - TV/Media -The Simpsons - Episode: Yellow Planet and Various Episodes -Win Or Lose - Various EpisodesBest Character Design - TV/Media -Win Or Lose - Episode: Home Best Music - TV/Media - Win Or Lose - Episode: Mixed Signals - Composers: Ramin Djawadi, Shane Eli, Johnny Pakfar and CampfireBest Storyboarding - TV/Media -Win Or Lose - Episode: Home Best Voice Acting - TV/Media -Bob’s Burgers - Episode: Don’t Worry Be Hoopy - Dan Mintz as Tina BletcherBest Writing- TV/Media -Win Or Lose - Episode: Pickle
