To play devils advocate, even if you're saying fees in lightning are low, you have to do liquidity management (opportunity cost) and most people who run lightning nodes lose money doing so. Also, account for the cost (vps or electricity)
Also opening and closing channels is a thing even if you make it in a low fee environment.
