Piracy isn’t theft. Theft removes the original. Piracy simply copies it.

Sure, by pirating a copy it’s like getting something valuable for free that I was supposed to pay for. But that’s the thing, if I paid for it I should be able to own it, right? I paid for the movie, give me the file.

No, I don't want you to host it for me on your shady platform filled with trackers. Oh, there is no file? So it's just renting and I have to continue to pay a monthly subscription to have access to it? Hmmm, and on top of all of that I also have to use your closed-source spyware app that collects my location and everything about me? You’re asking too much of me. You gave me no choice. I will pirate it. Fuck you, bye.

this is long debate goes back days of napster n piratebay - In most places for personal/educational use vs redistributing it for commercial benefit is BIG DIFFERENCE esp when its digital form and cp is so easy. esp applies for copyright n classified items NOT to FOSS n Publicly distributed stuff e.g. if subcribe to privatenewsletter should not publish copy from there except ones writer publishly publicly ALREADY

in most countries copyright lasts abt 75yrs max (useful lifespan of human creator) - or every meme copy of Monalisa need to pay tribute by SATS to Leo. da Vinci in heaven
