maybe a better way to put it, is that i can’t really. my brain zones out meaning from lyrics and they sound like just another instrument to me

Same here, I usually dive into the lyrics after ive connected musically
i have no idea what the songs speak about when i listen to them, i only go through the lyrics whenevee somebody requests for song recommendation, just so they don’t think i’m sending them a message or smth
fair. but maybe give it a try with new music you may not be listening to
yeah, and it’s the most rewarding feeling. the most important part of my love for music. not sure how I would still be alive if not
