I had a rough draft of an idea about if I was rich enough to have absolute fuck you money, I would go into a neighborhood that needed it and buy everyone's house, but the rule is they have to continue living there and spending that house money on their community, local mom and pop shops and the likes....build their streets up, add lights where needed, sidewalks, playgrounds, whatever. Invest in schools, pay teachers. But they must stay there. And because I owned the properties I would put it in some kind of generational safeguarding trust so no corporations could come in and try to bully these neighborhoods into selling for gentrification while maintaining a lawyer on hand for any circumstances to work out the paperwork as needed.

👍🏻I think it's a good idea!

Great idea and sustainable! I always thought I would buy gifts for kids…Like make their holidays insane. I would go buy tons of food and just give it away to communities and people in need with 100 dollar bills on top. I wonder if billionaires do this sometimes but I feel they dont

Thanks. Yeah I had a similar idea about handing out stuff. Kind of working on something now, but I don't have the 100 dollar bills to top it off ... yet :D Maybe I can find some generous people.

I think some do, but most of them live in such extreme bubbles that it's like a blip for them if they give, I am guessing. Or a tax write off or putting money into their own charities to hold their money for "good deeds". I guess there are all varieties.

You can try but you can’t buy the whole world…

Maybe, but maybe it works well, and other fuck you money people would follow the same method

sometimes you need a tipping point
