I heard there’s a « NSEC000.. » that anyone can use to publish anonymously

Kinda funny, but could be useful to whistleblowers by example…

Anyone know the account and could mention it?

Also, how much « 0 » behind the NSEC?

I would like to know. I tried 32 zeros (hex format), 256 zeros (binary format). Didn't work to log is. Invalid format they said :-/ We need someone who knows.

We should ask #[3] about it

I haven't heard of that, but nsec is just a bech32 encoded (integer) number with checksum at the end. For instance nsec for the private key of 1 would be nsec1qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqsmhltgl

Zero as a private key won't work cause it doesn't give you a valid point at the curve ie. a valid public key.

To publish anonymously just generate a random one time private key, publish and forget.

Nah, I'm pretty sure there is a 00 account. I don't remember the details but I've read it at the very beginning of the nostr era
