According the Bible, divorce does not end a marriage in God's eyes.

Luk 16:18: "Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery."

According to Noah Webster 1828:

adultery:

(n.) The unfaithfulness of a married person to the marriage bed; sexual intercourse by a married man with another than his wife, or voluntary sexual intercourse by a married woman with another than her husband.

Do not enter into a carnal relationship with a woman who belongs to another, but the commandment extends to any kind of carnal sin such as fornication, concubinage, etc.
