Why we are discussing this matter, you wouldn't happen to have a nice vector based version of the AutoGraphy projection map of our blue dot? I would like to use it for a project I'm working on.

(Mercator is shit, gives a very wrong picture.)

That's a new one, interesting. Found a PDF version which looks like vector: https://narukawa-lab.jp/archives/authagraph-map/ HTH

I have a thing in my head with the Waterman butterfly projection, which has similar properties. But haven't gotten round to it yet.

Crowding 75% of the population of the world into the top left corner, while keeping basically the whole bottom half empty seems quite questionable.
