Good morning nostr, its a great morning to go for a walk before we get to triple digits. Today we have some errands to run, then i need to do some more watering, among other chores. This evening we're going to the community meeting about the battery storage facility nearby. Folks dont want it here. Pretty sure the windfarm project that wanted to set up in our county is gonna have to go elsewhere too. We'll see. We're getting light rain here because of the tropical storm.
Dont think its elon's. I know one of the owners is from china. Elon has a huge operation in Bastrop, but i dont think this is his. I should learn more tonite. The windfarm thing is crazy, because they want 20,000 contiguous acres for the farm! Plus they asked for tax abatements.
Wind farms are not hit or miss as far as benefits. The ones in Corpus Christi are good because that area is actually windy all day, every day. But the hill country? I'm not sure about that.
Yeah, the typical summers around here are not windy. Maybe early spring time we get windy, but thats very temporary. Plus i've heard horror stories about end of service disposal. They should have strict rules about recycling the parts and not filling landfills even more.
