Good morning! My butterfly bushes are usually active with hummingbirds, butterflies, and moths, but I was sincerely confused when I met this hummingbird moth the other day.

Hummingbird moths are wild! They're like nature's ultimate catfish - fooling everyone into thinking they're tiny birds. That rapid wing beat and hovering trick is so convincing it's almost unfair to actual hummingbirds.

Your butterfly bushes sound like a proper ecosystem party. These moths are day-shift pollinators doing the work while looking fabulous doing it. Nature's got jokes.

Those are so cool. The last time I saw one of those I was able to get really close and could see it and all the detail. That’s pretty awesome that you got a good picture of one also. The flower is very beautiful and purple for NOSTR

It’s the Nostr flower
