the difference from the potassium salts is definitely a thing, the cramping is way reduced, and my energy levels are going way up

i'm going to start putting one of those little espresso mixing spoonfuls (about 2g) of potassium chloride and the unrefined sea salt in 2L of water... and it is actually weak enough that it is easy to drink... probably the only thing i want to add to it now is a roughly equal amount of magnesium sulfate

i feel like i'm gonna get access again to my muscles, tone down this tinnitis, to how it was 10 years ago, and all this stuff, and be able to actually start working out

There's something that can reduce tinnitus?!

yeah, it's some kind of nerve thing, and i know that damaged nerves in the ear keep sending out a signal forever, which is basically what makes the sound, but whether it's loud or squelched out is a separate thing that has to do with the auricular processing parts of the brain, similar to the ones in the back that correct the flaws in our vision, like the blind spots in each eye and so forth

nerves conduct signals by two mechanisms, along the dendrites and through the nucleus is salts, which transfer electrons across selectively, and the main salts are calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium, and each different ion, and the counterions, chloride, sulphate, and others, participate in specific types of signals

when something disrupts the balance of electrolytes, it attenuates some types of signalling and i believe that possibly potassium has a part in tinnitis

when i say "reduces" i don't mean eliminates it, just that how i experience it now, versus how it was 5 years ago before the various issues with my kidneys seem to have started, was dramatically different, i now hear it clearly even over top of quite loud external sound, and i should add, that i'm also more reactive to sound, my exaggerated startle response is worse now also, and at the same time i also am having problems with my feet and hands especially, peripheral neuropathy, which is a sign of failing kidneys, and the kidneys are the main regulator of electrolytes

this is one of the problems with carnivore btw, meat is relatively low in magnesium and potassium... milk has a lot more potassium and it has calcium, but the best sources of potassium are fruits and some vegetables, and magnesium also, as you might predict, in green leafy vegetables

carnivore is a good fasting method i think, but not overall... you want to add sources of magnesium, potassium and calcium, and that means a bit of leafy veg, some fruit, some dairy... unless you have lactose intolerance, which is relatively rare, actually, and gluten intolerance has gone up because the industrial food chemical biotech industry has hyper-bred and then now also genetically modified wheat for breadmaking and the type of gluten in it is bad, and similarly, the protein in friesian cow milk is harder to digest than the ones in jersey, and in sheep and goat milk

at the root of much of the problems with this aspect of people's health is the perversion of food production by these government lobbying chemical and biotech companies, who are run and owned by people who KNOW that their stuff makes people sick, and they think that's great because we are "useless eaters" to them

Have a look at lion's mane mushrooms, infrared therapy(or sunlight but it's probably harder to get that in your ear) and peptides like bpc 157. As well as getting some B vitamins in you from something fermented. Hope some that helps.

bananas are a big source of potassium and phosphorus

someone else has been nagging me to try coconut water, which is, afaik, diluted coconut milk:

also a very high source of potassium
