I never understand the looks I get from people when I say that when the government taxes you that is theft. I think deep down they defend it because they believe they will benefit from the system at some one else's expense.

Yep! The whole system is based on unconscious/subconscious "gonna get mine" that's not really theirs in the first place because it doesn't even have a balance $number$ that can be securitized so it makes everyone antisocial by definition as they desperately filter all their morals, opinions and resultant politics through this logical brain cheese grater of "I'm in and you have to be too". How could we define it in legal terms... Incitement to commit fraud on a class action level? Or maybe war?
