RUNSTR Updates

App Development

Working on improving the leaderboard performance, significant improvements were made to the fitness tracker, with more improvements to follow to help our graphene and calyx brothers and sisters out. Still waiting on ios version 1.3.1 to pass app store review......the review hasn't started yet.

Article

Made an article about how we handle user privacy.......just in case you wanted to know.

Season II

The walking leaderboard is pretty close. Some of the usual suspects are dominating the running leaderboard, but the great thing about the event is that npubs at the bottom of the list can band together to out distance npubs at the top. Although I'll probably give healthy zaps to users in 1st 2nd and 3rd at the end of the competition.

Other stuff

We're looking to throw in person events at some of the circular economies we have in the app. Our first will be on March 15th. The idea is to have runstr empower circular economies and the use of bitcoin as a medium of exchange. Users in the app can select a team, teams are circular economies and bitcoin charities pulled from geyser.fund. We give 50 sats in daily rewards to users and give them the ability to donate a percentage of the rewards to the teams.

We're going to tell you guys/gals more about the event as more of the details are finalized. But overall we're pretty bullish about the project and aim to be the nostr native/bitcoin powered/strava alternative that you deserve 🫡

Looking forward for the leaderboard performance improvements

On my Google Pixel 9 Pro with GrapheneOS the leaderboard performs really poor

Also it seems like it doesn't reliably load all workouts from the competition. For example the 10km walk from nostr:nprofile1qqs2sr7y57rrfm3x4272e9gmfn7hk44wrzat6v794lw0d0kkmjqwh5gpzemhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejz7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtccj40c2 is missing since I have refreshed the leaderboard

Wtf

Fixed with app force stop + third refresh attempt 😀

Working on leaderboard improvements now, as long as you click compete have confidence that your workout will be counted in the competition.
