Good evening #nostr
Well, it turns out that I didn't do that bad. According to my coach I should consider my first training fight a success.
Gonna get long again, so only read if you are bored and interested in my kickboxing experience.
When I arrived I was introduced to my first opponent. A 15yo girl with a height of 158cm. I'm 186cm, so I thought that it might not be that bad 😆
Turns out that she started with kickboxing at the age of three. In one corner we had 12 years of experience and in the other we had barely 8 weeks.
The fight was meant to last three rounds. In the first round I actually felt like I am doing a solid job, I served a few punches and kicks. Of course I received double the amount.
After the first round the coach told the little girl to stop saving her energy, it's only three rounds. Well, that was the end of me serving anything. I tried a few times but always ended up with a foot or hand flying against my head.
Especially her kicks were so freaking hard and precise, with our height difference that was the most impressive thing today.
So the last two rounds I was downgraded to a punching bag. 😆 The next days I might develop some nice coloured bruises. And I am glad that my head was protected.
After the fight we talked a bit. All the bystanders must have had bets on how often I will be on the ground. The girl was disappointed that I didn't go down a single time. Apparently it's her job handing out this kind of humiliation for newbies like me.
My coach was happy with my performance. The girl said that my punches are fast and hard, and that I got three good hits on her in the first round. But she also said that I am kicking like a baby.
On Thursday we will be working on the kicks! After the fight it's time to prepare for the revenge! Yes, I agreed to another one of them beatings 😆
I definitely lost, but I am proud!
