China's Ministry of Commerce said Friday that the country firmly opposes Canada's recent restrictive measures on steel imports, saying they violate WTO rules, disrupt the international trade order, and undermine China's interests. Canada recently announced it will impose a 25% surtax on imports from all countries other than the US that contain steel melted and poured in China.
