I’m going full Nostr for 2025. I haven’t used FB or IG in years. YT can be addicting, X can be fun but most of it is BTC price posting, which is retarted cause nobody really knows where it’s going.

This is going to be the first time in years I will be active on social media.

Nostr just feels different. It feels like I’m actually part of something, not just not a milk cow for social media companies to deliver me as a product to the advertisers. You can’t be yourself on social media… to have success there you have to be sensational pretty much all the time. What if that’s not your personality? Is that anyone’s personality? Is, therefore, anyone their real self on trad social media? Sensational is what gets you views and clicks and what gets you paid. Is Nostr different? It seems like it. nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs made a great point the other day on a stream with nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx and nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle … “Nostr feels like we already won, X feels like we’re still fighting”

I haven’t been around BTC for as long as most, but one thing I’ve learned is that building something within the BTC community is much more fulfilling than trying to fight for and convince normies to wake up to the reality and inevitability of Bitcoin. My family is in, some of my friends are in… I’ll leave the rest to people much better at orange pilling than me. From what I hear, getting the family and some friends on the Bitcoin train is already a huge success.

Starting today and into 2025, I’ll focus on this Nostr community. I’ll post often, the goal is every day, and maybe people will like my insights and maybe they won’t. It’s still a better alternative than frying your brain with dopamine scrolling the bullshit on X. 🤙
