I believe it’s real coming from the Atlantic. Just makes me sad the complete lack of basic economic sense.
It's not a lack of it (from a Marxist perspective) they're viewing capitalism exactly the right way.
But I get what you're saying and do agree.
Individual choices should be subjugated to the collective in their world view.
But reality always rears its ugly head and people act based on their own subjective values, wants, and needs. This is why the only way to have the best outcomes for the most people is to allow for truly free markets where individuals reap the rewards and suffer the consequences of their own decisions.
