An American is visiting Norwegian friends in Norway. As the dinner is served, the American asks the host:

- This meat is very tasty, what animal is this?

--- Oh, diss iss reinsdyr, how do you say it in English, reindeer?

- Ah, yes, this reindeer is quite yummy says the American. What part of the reindeer is this from?

--- Diss iss just regular canned reindeer balls, we call them reinsdyrsballer here.

I know that with Vikings, every part of the reindeer is saved - it was one of the very first meats Anthony Bourdain did a show on in Iceland. 😊

In this case it's a trick with words.πŸ˜„ Meat balls are called balls because they are round. Same with minced meat from reindeer that is shaped into the form of balls. So while the smiiling Norwegian may cause the guest to puke a little with this word game, it's just a reference to the shape.😁

I would much enjoy being able to freely

say β€œballs” without a spoof or a smirk. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜
