Hey #Monero community, do you understand that #privacy appeals to a niche market, but the mass market prioritizes regulatory compliance by governments?

Do you still think Monero should seek mass adoption, or do you understand that it is better to remain in a niche and not take too many risks because regulators would not allow them to lose control over money?

Monero should remain simple and focused on usability for a small niche market. Scalability is not a priority.

I’m comfortable with the niche scenario but I’m ready for the opposite too

The you should understand that bitcoin isn't a revolution. Its the new gold to be rehypothicated and loaned against.

The question is how can you move fiat to xmr?

Since you propose that xmr remain niche, that implies that most transactions will be with fiat. Once in a while people will move fiat to xmr and use it (for example, for political donations). In order for that to be possible the movement from fiat -> xmr -> fiat must be as smooth as possible.

And it's not.

$XMR for political donations?

Screw corrupt politicians.
