I never even thought about making my own butter before. Thank you for the links.
Thinking of pouring our local raw Jersey milk into a tall, bottom spouted glass pitcher so that I can drink fat free milk from the bottom after it naturally sperates.
Then I can take the milk fat from the top and churn butter for myself and the family. Freezes really well, too.

I normally wouldn't except that, as a consequence of eating a higher carb diet, I want to reduce fat or at least eat during meals that are not high carb.
