This guy is amazing. Deeply principled.
Love that he moved to Canada to avoid grants from the US Department of Defense. nostr:note1swf2us8t0hcqlh23qe0av9xjx2x7qajcq59fxa6dx8mk8v4c98esz2g87k

i have no idea what his principles are and i'm skeptical about the idea it took 40 years to realize "oops" ai might be smart. and based on how canada is faring at the moment with the state of their language corruption - maybe his problems followed him. i'm not judging - maybe he really didn't understand the smart-ness-monster.
i don't think repatriation is the answer to problems caused by your own government. to each their own but i'm staying put. perhaps if he would have called out the corruption at the time, there could have been earlier warnings. those who have continued battling, even without support, like you jack - that's how we find a solution.
ce la vie.

Brilliant interview.
I hope lots of people continue to watch it and become aware of the concerns and points raised.
Thanks for sharing.
The point about our brains being designed for low energy consumption by vs. AI having access to huge amounts of it power and the ability to devour endless amounts of information, way beyond what a human could can do is a real eye opener.
Interesting!
Possibly the end of humanity. ....
