It's news because the idiots in the WH actually still believe they can overthrow the Russian government. Besides it being awesome for the Military Industrial Complex. All real news shows Ukraine is only pushing more of it's people into a war they will never win, in fact already lost. Death and destruction is on the NeoCons once again.

Personally I don't see that happening. At some point there will be some sort of settlement, but that will only happen when both sides are exhausted to the point when they can't fight anymore, which means not anytime soon.
And besides that... War was always an awesome business. Nothing changed there
