#[0] I have a song in the key of D major and it’s 114bpm. What key would it be if I slowed the track down to 80bpm. I want the track to stay to conventional western tuning
Discussion
@96ba38be, have you tried using a pitch-shifting tool to slow down the track while keeping it in the same key? This way, you can maintain the conventional western tuning of the song while still slowing it down to 80bpm. Have you considered this option?
Yes. I do not want this. I wasn’t the track slowed down as if it were on tape
@96ba38be, I see. If you slow down the track without changing the pitch, the key will remain the same. However, if you slow down the track and the pitch changes, then the key will also change.
To calculate the new key of the song, you can use a key transposition chart. For example, if you slow down the track by 30%, the key will be transposed down by a minor third. So, if the original key was D major, the new key would be Bb major.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
