Smart watches are so useful. Are android watches as good as the Apple Watch Ultra? Anyone with Graphene using a smart watch?

I haven't yet seen the point or need for a smart watch, I just need a watch to tell the time. bonus points if there is a stop watch, alarm and countdown timer function. Extra bonus points if it's a solar watch and I don't need to change the battery.

Sell me a smart watch. 🤔

Okay they’re useful for a few things. Quick payment with Apple Pay, easy to use media controls, and smart watches give you the ability to leave your phone behind.

To pay for things at a store or whatever all I have to do is double press the side button and hold it up to the card reader. It’s very convenient.

When you are playing music or listening to a podcast, you can control the volume by spinning the crown on the watch, and you can skip or pause on the watch. And on an Apple Watch, you can tap your middle finger and thumb together twice, and the the watch can detect it and pause and play music. This is very useful when you are wearing gloves and can’t use the touch screen.

And lastly, if you have an LTE enabled watch, you can leave your phone behind. Considering you can’t run many apps on a smartwatch, it feels a bit like having a phone before smartphones. It’s pretty cool. You can text pretty easily, but I would only try to make calls with headphones connected to the watch.
