Yeah, everyone involved somehow in Bitcoin makes his own impact on the future of the protocol. What I meant was that as a node runner by choosing to run a particular implementation / version on Bitcoin code I can make my decision. The same I can do as a miner or hasher, HODLER, trader, whoever else interactions with the protocol.
