Picture an average family, buried under a staggering $36,000 in credit card debt, with a yearly interest bill of $1,000. They’re scrambling to keep up, but the hole just keeps getting deeper. One day, they sit down, have a big family meeting, and decide to take bold action: they cancel their $15-a-month Netflix subscription, proudly declaring, “We’ve saved $180 a year!” We'll be out of debt in no time.

That is DOGE's $160 billion of savings.

I'm obviously for cutting waste. But don't lie to people and suggest these cuts are even making a dent in the big picture.

Maybe flip-flopping on tariffs might help.
